MH-architecture is committed to creating architecture that is engaging both mentally and physically; to realizing a built form that is informed by the thought, care, and sensibilities of the architect and client.
Through combining the study of a project’s physical and human context with an understanding of its program and function –concepts of order are developed; generating an architectural structure, a rational for relating building to place, parts to a whole and parts to each other. Through this process the design gains legibility and purpose, allowing one to comprehend the building and connect it to its physical and social environment.
Building must be a collaboration with the earth; ultimately architecture is a physical entity, expressed by the qualities of materials, the play of light, and the creation of form. It is our understanding of technology that allows us to build. And we must build so that the materials and energy we use do not deplete or poison our planet.
